Philosophy

Hello Gourmands! We are Jos Grootscholten and Sharon Tettero. On July 14, 2010, we opened Restaurant Perceel, located at ‘het Oude Raadhuis’ (the old town hall) in Capelle aan den IJssel.

In Dutch, ‘Perceel’ means parcel of land. As a chef, Jos loves to get his hands in the ground. ‘A parcel to me is an empty piece of ground to which one can give their own interpretation.' This is why you will often find homegrown herbs and edible flowers gracing dishes at Restaurant Perceel.

Restaurant Perceel is based on our unique experiences working at both Dutch and European restaurants. Before opening our own restaurant, we enjoyed an internship at Noma, named best restaurant in the world for three years in a row. We also had some unforgettable moments at Martin Berasategui’s three-star restaurant in San-Sebastian. Some of the Dutch restaurants we include on our resume are restaurant Beluga (Maastricht) and restaurant Calla’s (Den Haag).

2010 brought an amazing start for Restaurant Perceel, but a lot has happened since then! After 16 months, we were awarded a Michelin star; Jos was named most promising Chef of the Year 2013 by Gault Millau; and the city Capelle aan den IJssel named us entrepreneurs of the year.

Although we sometimes feels like we are living in a dream, Perceel is a reality. Every day we strive to live up to the high standards we have set for ourselves at the restaurant. We accomplish this with the help of a young team who are full of passion, their own dreams and ambitions. We delight in surprising our guests by pairing unexpected flavors with welcoming hospitality. Menu

Our menus are composed of dishes made with respect for nature. That means we use fresh, seasonal products.

The courses are also to order separate as starter- or main course. The price depends on the dish of your choice. The prices begins for starters € 25,00, main courses € 35,00 and desserts € 15,00.

Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, we serve a 2-course lunch menu for the price of € 42,50 p.p. and a 3-course lunch menu for the price of € 47,50 p.p.

In case of changes in the choice of dishes there will be a surcharge.

For guests who have special dietary requirements, please let us know and we will happily make substitutions.

Terrace

Perceel has, as soon as the weather permits, a lovely terrace on the riverbank of the IJssel where we serve both lunch and dinner.

In fair weather we can also cater to weddings and parties on our terrace.

Your reservation is only made final after you have received a personal confirmation of your booking.

Private dining
We guarantee your private dining experience at Restaurant Perceel will be a success whether you are organizing a business dinner or celebrating a birthday. We can accommodate groups up to 34 guests for sit-down dinners and up to 40 guests for lunch or dinner flights.

Since 2015, Restaurant Perceel is a designated ‘Official Wedding Venue.’ Celebrate the most beautiful day of your life at ‘het Oude Raadhuis’ (the old town hall) on the riverside of the idyllic IJssel. When using navigation system please insert Dorpsstraat 38 (big grey building located across the street of restaurant Perceel).

There is opportunity for parking in the Raadhuisstraat, Plantsoenstraat or in the direction of the Slotplein.
