In 2010, we opened the doors of our restaurant PERCEEL.

Perceel is located on the dike inside the Old Town Hall of Capelle aan den Ijssel.

The dike, which the city completely renovated in 2016, maintains its authentic appearance. Our riverside terrace is beautifully landscaped. In the summer months, our guests can enjoy lunch and dinner overlooking the Hollandsche Ijssel River.

Our culinary past is rich in unique experiences at home and abroad. We did an internship at restaurant Noma in Copenhagen. We had an unforgettable time in San Sebastiaan in the 3-star restaurant of Martin Berasategui. We have also worked in the Netherlands at Restaurant Beluga (Maastricht), Restaurant Vermeer (Amsterdam), Amstel Hotel (Amsterdam), and Restaurant Calla's (The Hague).

A lot has happened in a few short years. Restaurant Perceel was awarded a Michelin star after only 16 months of operation. Jos was declared Promise of the Year by the Gault & Millau and we were named entrepreneur of the year by the city of Capelle aan den Ijssel.

In mid-2018, the restaurant was restyled by Rotterdam designer Jeroen Smeele. We retained our warm appearance and association with flowers. We added in a touch of nostalgia using soft, velvety fabrics and surprising color nuances. Our new show piece is undoubtedly the Chef’s table, where four people can view the chef at work in the kitchen.

Jos tends his own garden onsite, which enables our kitchen staff to pick beautiful herbs and edible flowers in season. The word Perceel means plot. We have designed our restaurant Perceel with a wish for our guests and a goal for ourselves: "I see a plot as an empty piece of land that you can fill in yourself.”

Our kitchen staff is filled with knowledge, passion, craftsmanship, and the urge for perfection. Our menu is inspired by the seasons.

We can accommodate vegetarians as well as guests with special wishes and diets.

Our menus are composed of dishes made with respect for nature. That means we use fresh, seasonal products.

The courses are also to order separate as starter- or main course. The price depends on the dish of your choice. The prices begins for starters € 27,50, main courses € 39,50 and desserts € 17,50.

Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, we serve a 2-course lunch menu for the price of € 45,00 p.p. and a 3-course lunch menu for the price of € 49,50 p.p.

On Sunday we serve a 4-course lunch menu for the price of € 75,00 p.p.

In case of changes in the choice of dishes there will be a surcharge.

For guests who have special dietary requirements, please let us know and we will happily make substitutions.

Perceel has, as soon as the weather permits, a lovely terrace on the riverbank of the IJssel where we serve both lunch and dinner.

In fair weather we can also cater to weddings and parties on our terrace.
